As a fashion designer, I've often been asked about my journey - how I got started, what inspires me, and what drives me to create. In this blog post, I'll take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of my journey as a fashion designer, from the early days to the present.

The Early Days: Discovering My Passion

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the world of fashion. I had this teacher back in my primary school that inspired, me with her lovely outfits which she makes, and how she speaks so well of fashion, so i spent hours flipping through fashion magazines, watching runway shows, and experimenting with PAPER projects.

I told my Mom and sister about it, seeing my passion, encouraged me to pursue my dreams.

I began my formal learning in fashion design, studying the fundamentals of design, pattern-making, and textiles. It was during this time that I developed my skills and aesthetic.

While Learning:

I worked tirelessly, assisting with everything from sketching designs to sewing samples, and watching videos on more designs. I learned from the best, and my skills improved dramatically.

Launching My Own Label: A Dream Realized

After years of learning and few months of working for others, I decided it was time to launch my own label. It was a daunting task, but I was determined to make it happen.

I poured my heart and soul into creating a collection that reflected my aesthetic. I spent countless hours sourcing materials, working with pattern-makers. 

Finally, the day arrived when I could showcase my collection to the world. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once, but the response was overwhelming.

Lessons Learned: The Ups and Downs of the

Fashion Industry

Throughout my journey, I've learned many valuable lessons. One of the most important is the importance of perseverance.

The fashion industry can be brutal, with trends changing overnight and criticism lurking around every corner. But I've learned to take it all in stride, using criticism as an opportunity to grow and improve.

Staying Inspired: Finding Creativity in the

Everyday

As a fashion designer, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the industry. But I've learned that inspiration can be found in the everyday.

I find inspiration in nature, art, music, and even conversations with strangers. Jotting down ideas and sketches whenever they strike.

My journey as a fashion designer has been a wild ride, full of twists and turns. But through it all, I've remained true to my passion and my aesthetic.
